An Unexpected Job is the second chapter of the Cannon Master manga series.
Plot
Chapter 2 begins with Bharat & Ur training, and Bharat deciding to give Ur a practice flute to learn how to control his abilities. Ur is delighted & thanks Bharat for giving him the flute. Ur also mentions how them defeating the level 2 regilith spread across the land, and a lord of a city to the west requested to meet Bharat, to which Ur already accepted. Bharat is surprised by this, and eventually tells Ur they'll go and meet the lord of a city to the west. They later reach the city of Napruk, one of the three great cities to the west. The Lordship of Napruk asks Ur & Bharat to slay the religith that has taken up the town of Tawat, and he also asks them to not damage any buildings in that town because he would like the people of Tawat to go back to their town. The Lordship of Napruk revealed that he was a slaylith, but retired due to his age, and he says that he'll accompany Ur & Bharat on this mission. Bharat accepts the mission, and departs with the Lordship & Ur. They see the religith in Tawat, and attack it. The religith fires back at them with a beam, but Ur & Bharat dodge it. Ur & Bharat are still mindful of not attacking the buildings, so they decide to stop dodging the religith's attacks and just destroy it with the help of Ur's cannon fire & secondary cannons. The plan works perfectly & Ur thinks they have destroyed the religith, but the religith is back up. Chapter 2 ends with Ur stating he'll prove to Bharat that he's the only one that can destroy a religith without damaging any of the buildings in the town.
